The achievement of a PhD in life sciences opens the door to a number of career options, including academia, industry, government and private organisations. Senior scientists will explore the options facing young researchers as they lead this interactive lunchtime session. Different career paths will be considered, highlighting the responsibilities and skills required to endure various life science career options within the makeup or "DNA" of an organisation. Participants will gain an awareness of trends in scientific careers and how to assess future employment opportunities from three speakers followed by round-table discussions over lunch.
